... And Bootlegs For All

Megadeth - Live in Indianapolis, IN, USA, 1988

Venue: Market Square Center: Indianapolis, IN, USA
 Date: February 17, 1988
 Time: 45:45
 Size: 1 CD

 Sound: B+/A-, AUD
Notes: When I just started tapetrading I was lucky to get to know Jerry aka The Govner, who is a great person and taped hundreds of shows. He shared many of his shows with me. Later on around 2010's he shared fresh trasnfers of his masters @ Dime. Somehow only 15 years later (sic) I got my hands to this evident upgrade to what I'd had for years.
Taped by Jerry B. aka "The Govner"
Lineage: Sony D-3 Pro Walkman > Realistic 33-1065 Electret Stereo Microphone > Maxell XLII-S 90 > Onkyo TA-RW313 > Sony STR-DE945 > PC > Wavepad > Trader's Little Helper > FLAC
Jerry's linear notes: " I am in the process of sharing a bulk of my old analog recordings that has not been shared on a worldwide basis as "it is time" for them to be heard! After years of getting tired of dealing with the hassles of trading and with the ability to now correct master recording issues as uneven balances, low recording levels and unwanted unwanted noise I am more eager to share them. Anybody who has had the privilege to see my live tape list (or the master tapes themselves!) knows this will be a long process as I literally have too many masters to list! Not bragging but it is just a fact. So please be kind and not fill up my message box up with requests as I will be picking out shows at my own discretion. Without the help of "The Internet" and the lack of cell phones the only way to find out about many shows was with diligent research, lots of phone calls & word of mouth! I have no life (outside my taping obsession) so I expect to keep busy when I am not out on the road. Unlike The Lampinski Series my early recordings is very heavy with the "Metal" genre so I will make a lot of headbangers happy!
When is a band worth buying the same ticket twice?
As a taper sometimes when you go out with friends for a show you make mental errors (or ingest too many pre-show libations!) and make a stupid mistake. This show was one of those shows...... maybe it was the fact I may have smoked too much weed for my own good but once we found out where our seats was, I realized I left my microphone outside in my friend Criag's car! I could not go get it without buying another ticket as there was no pass in/outs so I kissed my t-shirt money goodbye! It was well worth the trade off as I got excellent recordings of both Dio and Megadeth (which I was able to pass off to somebody I knew in Maryland who had it pressed into a vinyl bootleg which I would years later get it signed by both Dave Mustaine & David Ellefson!).
Really good recording! Highly recommended.
