Shayne's comments: "The quality of this is better than I remembered. I had it rated very low on my tape list but it is shockingly listenable. I think the nak dragon played through the damaged tape."
Comments from a guy who was at the show: "Crowd was 50/50 metalheads & punks. I remember was Flotsam & Jetsam opening, the metalheads were up at the stage while the punks sat back at the bar drinking & talking shit. Then Verbal Abuse played, the punks were slam dancing & the metalheads were back at the bar. Then when Megadeth played - EVERYONE was at the stage & in the pit. Mustaine just CHUGGED a bottle of vodka & then spit some out over the crowd - and it was DEFINITELY vodka, haha! It was absolutely amazing." And another guy: "Scotty had just become the new singer for Verbal Abuse. Saw him in the pit during Megadeth's set. Newsted was still in Flotsam at the time."
What can I say, it's shocking to stumble upon an unsurfaced show from 1985 in 2025. The quality of this one is very good. For a 40 year old gig for sure. Great stuff to listen. Especially Peace Sells presented as a new song being '6 days old' and Mary Jane. The show originally was shared on youtube, I ripped audio, boosted sound in Audition, cut into tracks etc. So if you a lossless perfectionist this maybe regarded as lossy. I just don't care. Enormous gratitude to Shayne for sharing this and other gems at his channel.
