Megadeth - Live in Norje, Sweden, 2016

Venue: Sweden Rock Festival (Lemmy Stage): Norje, Sweden
 Date: June 9, 2016
 Time: 1:21:56
 Size: 2 CDs

Sound: B+/A-, Aud, copy from master
Notes: Taper: Jontebus. Source: AKG CK61 + tinybox + Sony PCM-M10 (24bit/48kHz) > Downsampled to 16bit/44,1kHz. Taper comments: Volume raised. Tiny bit of EQ to my own taste. Megadeth have released one the best new albums of 2016 (Dystopia) and if I'm not wrong, this is their first visit to Sweden Rock Festival. They should've played in 2014(?) but had to cancel. They left no one disappointed, even though they had another 10 minutes to play. No one is getting younger, and you can see Dave is struggling to sing these days (or some might say mumble), but I was actually quite impressed - even though they do have some sort of PA-sound that sounds thin or metallica, especially on the voice. This day was a little bit windy, so you can hear the wind disturbing the sound from the PA sometimes. Very happy with the result anyway. Remember: 82 minutes of a great show with Megadeth, is equal amount of time of total silence for me."
Very good recording for a festival indeed. Close-sounding, not that many talkers at the taper. And Megadeth played Sweden rock several times before that show, so the taper was not right about it. Standard setlist for this part of the tour.
