Disclaimer: the show originally was shared on youtube, as audio, so I ripped audio from it. So, if you a lossless perfectionist, this may be regarded as lossy. I just don't care. Taper/Source: Yuki's Audience. Taper’s comments: “A mix of songs off the new 13 (TH1RT3EN) album, and a good selection of old favorites. I saw Metallica during their Black Tour in 1991. So, Seeing Dave and his 2012 lineup was sort of full circle for me. I've owned Rust in Peace since it came out, but never heard it live. It was worth the wait. The crowd was insane, a great vibe that you can hear. Nobody is talking about anything else; they are hardcore with Megadeth chants. People were wearing whatever metal shirt they had handy. I loved seeing the Yellow and Black Megadeth logo on the screen as they played. I highly recommend purchasing the 2007 Megadeth DVD/Bluray 'That Night in Buenos Aires', as you can hear the Argentinian crowd chanting along through every keyboard and bass line. The 2012 crowd, amazingly, must have all watched that DVD, as they did the same thing. At one point in Hangar 18, Dave's microphone gives out at the 2 minute mark, so Mustaine goes over to the lead guitarist's microphone to sing the second set of verse, but the mike wasn't on. Don't worry, the crazed audience sings the lyrics for him! Dave gave a prayer gesture of thanks to the crowd after this one. Never thought I'd hear Dawn Patrol live, one of my faves from Rust in Peace. My other favorite is the encore, Holy Wars...The Punishment Due. A Tout Le Monde: Dave introduces Cristina Scabbia of Lacuna Coil (the opening act), explaining that he always intended this song to be a duet. Great backing vocals, she is obviously a fan to know the words by heart. Dave gets roundly booed for talking about politics. The stereo microphones balanced out the crowd better than my ears, you can actually hear what he said. The energy of the crowd fed into the performance, so Dave and the band gave the love back." It's always great to stumble upon a recording that you don't have, especially when it happens more than 10 years after the actual gig. Sadly the equipment / lineage is unknown. The sound is quite distant. It is a nice recording with a great setlist. It was just the 3rd time the band played Never Dead live ever! Unless you attended the gig I doubt you would listen to it. But if someone told me that was a FL, USA crowd I would never believed it. Great crowd with great chanting like they do in South America. Enormous thanks to the taper!
