Taper's notes: Show notes: This was the second night for the album release party in Tavastia Club. Much like the first show, this too was sold out. Overall impression of this second show was that the performance was much better as was the audience reaction. The setlist also worked better, mainly with the older songs being included earlier in the set. I was also happy to see more of the older songs as well as some other Joutsen era tracks which weren't played the night before. Still no real surprises but a great show nonetheless. Recording notes: Recorded from the balcony against the railing, pretty much identical spot that I used for the previous night, only difference being that this time I was with my lady and the gig didn't get filmed. There was couple of jailbaits right next to me who kept chatting amongst each others throughout the show, some of which is occasionally audible, yet not really that distracting on the recording, though it did get on my nerves when everytime the band played something from Tales or Elegy, those bimbos started yapping non stop. As for the mastering phase, the only thing I did was dampen couple of slightly louder peaks (few pops during the short intro tape) with hardlimiting, and then normalize the entire show to -1dB. No equalization was applied. I personally think the recording is really good, except for maybe i'd boost up the sound a bit but it's ok. As for the setlist this is a great combination of the new album played in almost in full this night and the songs from other albums, especially nice to hear good old Karelian stuff!
